Ninety minutes on two wheels
You meet on the Avenue de la Bourdonnais, a few streets back from the Champ de Mars, and the first part of the evening is training. Once everybody is steady the group sets off, and in ninety minutes it reaches eight named landmarks — more than a walking tour manages in three hours.
The route runs Les Invalides and its floodlit dome, across the Seine on Pont Alexandre III at full illumination, past the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais to Place de la Concorde, through the Louvre courtyards and along the riverbank by the Musée d'Orsay, finishing under the Eiffel Tower. It stays on the flat, so it does not attempt Montmartre.
A segway is quicker than it looks and easier than it looks. Reviewers in their fifties describe a short training session and then ninety minutes of enjoying themselves, and the guides are repeatedly singled out for stopping wherever somebody wants a photograph.

At 4.9 stars this is the best-rated evening in the list, and the reviews are consistent about the reason: small groups, patient instruction and guides who treat safety as part of the job. Named guides recur — George, Fawda, Kenza, Jack, Valerie — which is usually a sign of a small operation that keeps its people.

Meeting on the Avenue de la Bourdonnais
The base is at 101 Avenue de la Bourdonnais in the 7th, a short walk from École Militaire on line 8. Arrive ten minutes early: the training happens before the advertised start, and a group cannot wait for one rider.

Who this suits, and who should book something else
Book this if
You want to cover real ground without walking it, you are travelling in summer or early autumn, and you like the idea of an active evening. Beginners are the norm rather than the exception, and the training is built into the ninety minutes.
Book something else if
You are under twelve, pregnant, or have a heart condition — the operator does not take riders in any of those cases. If it is January and you would rather be warm, the dinner cruise is indoors. If you want the evening to feel like an occasion rather than an activity, the 2CV tour with champagne is the one.
Know before you go
- Riders must be twelve or over. There is no exception, and no under-11s are carried as passengers.
- Not offered to pregnant travellers or to anyone with a heart condition or another serious medical condition.
- Closed shoes. You are standing on a moving platform for ninety minutes.
- Dress warmer than you would to walk. A segway generates no heat and you are moving through the air.
- Check your métro line on the night. A closure has cost people this tour before.
- The group stops at fifteen, and the training happens before the advertised start time.
