What travellers say most often
Timing decides everything. The happiest reviews name a departure time — the 21:15 sailing, the 10pm car — and the unhappiest ones describe booking an evening tour that ran in daylight. It is the same point from both directions.
The guide makes the tour. Named guides recur constantly across these listings: Clara on the evening walk, Tenzin on the bikes, Sophia and Phillip in the 2CVs, Nicholas in the restored car. Where a review is lukewarm, it is usually a driver who drove rather than guided.
Read what is included twice. Two of the three cruises have no guide on board, one dinner cruise does not name the landmarks as it passes them, and a window seat is a request rather than a guarantee. None of that is hidden — it is all in the inclusions.
The open-top formats are a weather bet. Roughly one review in ten of the convertible cars is somebody who got rain, and the roof stays up when it does.
