Your two and a half hours on the Seine
You board at Port de la Bourdonnais, directly under the Eiffel Tower, and the boat casts off on time. For the next two and a half hours the monument stretch of the river runs past a wall of glass beside your table, while a three-course dinner is served and a singer works the room. Two hours of that is on the water.
The route is fixed and it is the right one. West to east past Les Invalides and the Musée d'Orsay, round the Île Saint-Louis and the Île de la Cité with Notre-Dame lit above you, then back along the Louvre and Place de la Concorde. Traffic, roadworks and one-way systems cannot change a single metre of it, which is the one thing no road tour can promise.
Boats of this size carry a lot of people, so the experience is a restaurant with a moving view rather than an intimate evening. Judged as that, it is the most booked evening in Paris by a distance.
What arrives at the table
A three-course gourmet menu chosen when you book, with a vegetarian option available on the spot, alcoholic drinks, bottled water and coffee or tea. A live singer performs through the sailing, and several travellers describe the songs being timed to the monuments as they come past.
Service tiers matter here more than on most listings. The Privilege and Window Service Premier options put you at a window; the Etoile service carries a preferential rate for children. If the view is the reason you are booking, choose the tier rather than hoping.
What the fare covers, and what it does not
Included: the sightseeing cruise from the Eiffel Tower past the main monuments, dinner, alcoholic drinks, bottled water, coffee or tea, live entertainment from a singer, a private table and an air-conditioned vessel.
Not included: hotel pickup and drop-off, the souvenir photograph taken on board, and any extra food or drink outside the package. Getting to Port de la Bourdonnais is your own arrangement.
Boarding at Port de la Bourdonnais
The pontoon sits on the right bank at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, in the 7th. Check in at pontoon 5 or 7 and arrive at least fifteen minutes before your sailing, because the boat leaves on time and does not wait. Bir-Hakeim on line 6 and Trocadéro on lines 6 and 9 are both about ten minutes on foot.

Who this suits, and who should book something else
Book this if
You want one evening that is dinner and sightseeing at the same time, you are marking an occasion, or you have arrived that afternoon and want something that asks nothing of you. It takes wheelchairs, pushchairs and infant seats, and it is warm in January.
Book something else if
You want to get out and stand somewhere — this is a seat for its whole length. If it is the lit river you want rather than the dinner, the shorter Seine cruises do the same water for a fraction of the fare. If you want the city rather than the river, the 2CV tour climbs Montmartre and the boat cannot.
Know before you go
- Smart casual is the dress code. Nobody wants a tie, but shorts will feel wrong.
- Choose your menu at the time of booking, and flag any dietary requirement then rather than on the night.
- A window table is a service tier, not a request. One traveller paid a premium for a window and still faced a quay wall for part of the sailing.
- Nobody names the landmarks. There is no commentary, so know roughly what you are looking at or bring somebody who does.
- Arrive fifteen minutes early. The boat sails to a timetable.
- In summer, take a later sailing. Before about 21:40 in June you will be eating in daylight.
